One more week til the Walking Dead premiere. My friend Jamie and threw a party for last years mid-season premiere. Here are some ideas in case you want to throw your own Walking Dead theme party!
We boarded up the front door using scrap wood. You can also make fake wood planks out of cardboard if you don’t have access to wood. Draw a wood grain on them with marker and use them to board up windows from the inside too!
Signs for hallways doors. You can download bloody/horror fonts for free at dafont.com.
Jamie made Zombie Drinks!
Complete with disgusting eyeballs to put in the drinks. They tasted delicious though!
Get a brain mold at any Halloween store and made a brain cheese ball. I served it with “Ricktator Chips” and a little Rick! That sign made me laugh for about 15 minutes after I made it.

Zombie Guts!! I bought some pre-made pizza dough from Trader Joe’s. Roll it out and cut into strips about 2-3 inches wide. Spread spinach artichoke dip on half of each strip (the long way) and lightly fold over. Pinch together in some spots and let filling poke through in other spots. Arrange in a greased pan in a squiggly pattern so it looks like intestines. Take a small amount of water and add a drop or two of red food coloring. Brush the “intestines” so they turn a pinkish color. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until pizza dough is done. Brush with melted butter so they glisten and look extra gross.
Jamie’s super creepy zombie cake. It was a chocolate cake covered with crushed Oreos so it looked like dirt. She made the zombie head and fingers out of fondant.
