Ramen with Popcorn Chicken! Enough said.

This is my favorite local ramen place. It’s a family owned shop and Mama does all the cooking. Occasionally she’ll bring out your bowl of ramen. I love it, it’s like spotting a celebrity.

I usually order the Spicy Ramen – Hot with chashu, and popcorn chicken on the side. You can also order with popcorn chicken inside the soup instead of the chashu. If you don’t eat very fast though the chicken kinda gets soggy. I prefer it on the side.

Add 3 pieces of gyoza for $1. I think you can also add a spicy tuna roll for the same price but I might be lying.

The noodles are chewy and the broth is flavorful without being too oily.

Try the Kuro ramen for something different. It contains a black sesame oil. It’s really good.

Japanese popcorn chicken

This  was for 5 people, I swear.

There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant. Street parking is free.

There is sometimes a little bit of a wait. There’s a sign in sheet on the magazine stand inside. Wait area is outside on the sidewalk though.

Cash Only!!!
